Trading partners using NrG Junction need to address four areas before using the Service:

Key Exchange For encryption and decryption we must exchange public PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) keys to facilitate encryption/decryption of EDM messages.

Technical Contact
Please contact the NrG Help Desk.

PGP Key Exchange Procedure
We can exchange keys via E-mail or couriered diskette (E-mail is the preferred method because of its timeliness).

Verification of Key Exchange
We must go through the recommended key fingerprint verification upon receiving a new PGP public key (i.e. verbal confirmation of the PGP public key fingerprint).

Regularly Scheduled PGP Public Key Exchanges
The frequency of PGP public key exchanges will be mutually agreed upon between NrG Information Services Inc. and the trading partner.

Emergency PGP Public Key Exchanges
The procedure for emergency key exchanges will be the same as is used for regular PGP public key exchanges (i.e. E-mail or couriered diskette plus a verbal fingerprint verification).  In such cases, time is of the essence in implementing the new PGP public keys expediently.

DUNS Numbers Both parties have each other's correct DUNS numbers to be used in EDM transactions. Your DUNS number will be added to NrG's internal database.

User ID and Password We must exchange User ID/password combinations to use for the HTTP basic/realm authentication mechanism. You will receive a User ID and Password for the NrG Junction site and must provide one for your site. NrG Junction’s receiver does not currently accept the User ID and Password combination used for the EDM pilot sites.

EDM Receiver URLs We must agree on URLs to send EDM requests to and which PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) keys to use with each URL. NrG Junction supports multiple URLs for each company and each URL may use a different PGP key or they may all use the same one.
